If you want to use your mk3 2.0 axles with your o2j transmission this is the way to swap the 108mm diff flanges out for the smaller 100mm flanges to fit the mk3 axles. Early 4cyl 02A transmissions cannot accept the 02J shift tower. NLSs mounts work on either tranny in an mk1. The tower and shifter weight and all are different but you can put the 02a stuff on an 02j and vice versa. Not returnable if opened, contact us for specific dimensions if you're unsure.OEM rebuild kit for your late 02J (does not include gears). o2j is stronger but the case is essentially the same. This insures that you receive the correct extended hardware. Axles with a cross-groove style inner joint have the bolts going through the joint housing and require a longer bolt, stock bolts for these are 52mm long. For these with a thin flange select SMALL. Axles with a tripod style inner joint, for example, have a thin, about 1/4" thick, flange that meets up to the axle cup and the stock bolts are 23mm long.
